A couple of nights back I noticed that the sky was looking a particularly attractive shade of red so I ran upstairs (well more sort of ambled at a leisurely pace as is my want these days) and grabbed the camera. Stuck the 70-200L lens on and opened the bedroom window.
I was amazed that in the space of about 6 or 7 minutes the sun had gone from being fully visible, to completely out of sight behind the hill.
Flare was a problem on some shots but with a bit of readjusting of position I got rid of it of these shots. I have just got around to looking at them on the PC and have to say I'm quite pleased with the results.
Last night I was all ready to do it again but the clouds came in and foiled that idea. As I write this the rain is pouring down and I can only just make out the phonemast on the hill through the low cloud and mist, so no more sunset pictures tonight.
