Today I fianlly got around to giving my thanks to the surgeon who recently removed my gallbladder. Having looked around the internet for a suitably different 'thank you' present, I came across a signed Pakistan World Cup 1999 Squad bat on EBay. After losing out on some other signed items I managed to secure the aforesaid bat and it arrived last week at snapper towers.
I had the forsight to take a 'snap' of it before handing it over (suitably wrapped in green and yellow paper by Mrs snapper).
We caught up with the surgeon as he started his clinic and handed over the present. He seemed suitably pleased and said he didn't deserve it but we argued that we thought he did and we agreed to differ.
